Orli Nativ is a versatile young designer with a passion for exploring costumes and characters from the historical to the fantastical. Most recently her work was seen at Theatre Row in New York, where she designed Moliere’s “Tartuffe”  for Beyond the Wall Productions. She spent 2008 at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre in Michigan, where favorite productions included “Little Women: the Musical” and “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing” for the Civic Youth Theatre. Orli attended Hampshire College, and holds a B.A. in the fashions of imaginary people.

Art history, world history, technology, cultural studies, literature—the process of design for me includes all these fields and more, and almost limitless potential to learn new things. I am always looking for a challenge and learning through experimentation and activity. I want my designs to take the viewer somewhere and to reveal to them a world within its people.
